Making the Difference

Born in Guadalajara, Naim Ali was always in search of new horizons, with the plan to make changes in his life e decided to live in Bucerias, Nayarit, back in June 2008, when he realized how much he was drawn to the beach. He studied for his Business Administration degree at the Jesuit University of Guadalajara (ITESO), and has developed professionally focused on sales and dealing with people in different needs.

Naim likes to go swimming especially at Punta de Mita; he also enjoys football; loves Trova music, which, with a few chords, can play it on his guitar, but he also enjoys Indy rock 80.

"Mi planta de Naranja Lima" by Jose Mauro de Vasconcelos, is his reference book as he feels it has an incredible sensitivity, and gives energy and reflection of the authentic self, struggling with the adversities of life.

Naim began work with CANICA (Support Centre for Children with Cancer, AC) at a time of restructuring to carry out the event "Mi Amigo Sin Pelo" (My friend without hair), after Salvador Ibarra Alvarez del Castillo donated land within the limits of Tonala, Guadalajara. This initiative arose as a campaign of solidarity and fundraising to build a hospital specializing in children with cancer and Naim decided to participate when they had the idea of holding the event in Vallarta for the first time last year.

"For me, those little hopeful lives are the teachers, parents, brothers and all of us. They are pure energy for me they are the light, the engine and drive a lot of movement."

In all this charity activity, Naim has learned much about passion and sensitivity, and that it is very important to treat children and people in general as whole people, not as sick things. "We must understand our ability to really transcend, donating only a smile can change at least the day of a person."

"I'd like to share with the readers of Bay Vallarta we give of ourselves, the emotional part is essential to heal diseases and we can instill the desire to live life into the children and, therefore, to oneself. Let's show solidarity for this cause, if you do not want to shave your head, invite someone else to shave or to help raise your goal."
