Puerto Vallarta is experiencing the final of the National Mexican tourism peak season since the 2010-2011 school calendar officially began in August 23; as such, vacationers who come to our destination are enjoying the last days of peak season.
Of course the region will continue to receive visitors who do not schedule their trips according to Mexican school holidays, however, the numbers will be reduced significantly during the rest of the summer and into the fall. There are approximately two months to go before the start of Art Walk and just under three months before the sixteenth Annual Gourmet Festival, two events that have undoubtedly become the symbols of the start of high season for international tourism.
For now, here in Puerto Vallarta, we are left to do our best for the Mexican tourists who are still in the city, to ensure that they return home with only the fondest of memories, and of course, the desire to return as soon as possible. Meanwhile, in the quiet interval between the national and international tourist seasons, Vallarta society will have to be patient, as the local cash flow will be slower than recent months.
Please keep this in mind and do your best to support the local economy at area restaurants and among their employees
So with the end of the domestic tourism peak season and the upcoming month of September, with Mexico' annual patriotic celebrations, right around the corner, we are already beginning to prepare and refine our vocal chords to enthusiastically celebrate the Bicentennial of the beginning of Mexico's war of independence the Centenary of the Mexican Revolution.
